As it was before,

it is again,

prayers stripped of love and

people snagged by  hate

in Gaza,

ordinary folks woven,

beholden to a peacock colored dream catcher,

hunger lynched children hanging

from almond trees,

their shoes waggling above mirages of sand

and sun rises and

and prayers for

children chasing

 forgiveness as it unfurls

in breezes

their giggles floating

around the world until

strands of hope and

peace quiver from

dream catchers hung

on olive trees and

all the little children in Gaza

have new shoes
