Write me a poem

on the corner of a napkin at our favorite little restaurant

where love hopscotches across a checkered table cloth

and candles never flicker around the windows of our souls

tell me you love me under a peach tree

where  the ribbons from a  willow tree blow

and the air is full of floating sonnets and aromatic pears

or just slip into my purse and grab a pencil

write I love you …on a napkin
