In
shallow
hollows
holy
as the right to sing
lullabies under an African sun
poverty nurses
fed up
anger
laid in ostrich nests
girls stolen
boys chosen
to feed poverty’s ache
clothed in terror’s
regime
which
when fed
grows
til 20,000 dead
pay
for
Boko Harem’s
hunger
shall i say it again ?
lullabies
under an African sun
sung
Sharia
holy
hollows echo
shallow
in
Boko Harem
Marvellous.

I went to Africa three times for President Clinton in the nineties. We were send on a water, food and medicine mission. We try to help. I bury many kids and adults. If people saw the starvation. Wouldn’t allow government like the USA to spend 25% on war. We would feed the world. Concern, kindness and help. The way to understanding. Your poem is needed. People forget that some places in our world. Children are dying of starvation.

I agree. People forget the hungry and homeless people. Not only in Africa. Many sad tales in the USA.
