With bits of string
and snippets of paper
do we make wings to fly unbound
like newsprint swans?
Do we tear through waves
’round the gilded cup and flap
like inkspots
splattering water and wind ?
Will we try deny boundary
of sand and sea
in hurricanes-our unmaking
nail the Christian
to crosses
of our own making
crucify the old
commence with the new
forgetting
only angels have wings
and gravity always listens,
don the stifled gown and burka
flip the script
with bits of string
and snips of soggy paper
cut our wings to fly
unbound
?
I like your writings you so much!! They are different than mine and take me to different places which is so wonderful!
